Drinks

There is a balance between starting off with a stomach full of liquid and starting with an empty tank. Ahh.. The urine test. Your urine should be a light yellow color prior to go time (taking supplements prior to an event can make your urine more yellow), so take that into account. Drinks should contain mostly if not all carbohydrates at this point. Other ingredients that can get you off to a fast start are branched-chain amino acids (BCAA's) and caffeine. Be sure to look at the pre-event meal drinks (usually taken at least 30min before activity). These can help solve the issue of what to eat/drink before your training or race.
